Experienced Team
Madison Equine Services is set in beautiful
rural countryside of Somerset and we are a
professional friendly, private training and
livery company set in premium grounds that
will impress any horse owner or investor.
We offer a comprehensive service to the
horse owner, be it schooling young horses,
or nurturing the 'more mature' equine! We
offer tuition, not just to livery owners,
but to anyone wishing to bring their horse
to us or be taught for resell, schooling or
competition.
Madison Equine Services is owned by Michael
Marino and Cheryl Presley, who after a
successful career in International Grand
Prix showjumping, now concentrate
and train intensively on dressage,
showjumping and eventing disciplines.
Horses may be placed with us for any of our
services and may stay for a few days, months
or years. Whatever the purpose of your
horse’s stay, they will receive
professional, experienced handling from
qualified staff and a schedule tailored to
your requirements. We pride ourselves on
appreciating each horse as an individual,
not only in terms of its capabilities, care
and exercise requirements, but in
understanding its own particular personality
and temperament. Whether you're a serious
competitor or would just like some help in
enjoying your leisure horse, ay Madison
Equine Services we welcome all.

I have produced thousands of
horses for clients to either compete themselves,
or have the joy and pleasure of watching their
horses perform to a high standard. I have competed
internationally to Grand Prix levels in
showjumping and Prix St George levels in Dressage.
I have evented to Advanced level and received
tuition with
Bruce Davidson,
American Olympic Event rider. Furthermore, I have
had tuition with such instructors as George Morris
and Michael Matz in America .
As a young man, I worked in very large dealing
yards with well over 100 horses to be produced for
sale in all phases of equestrian sport. I soon
learned how to achieve the best performance out of
many times very difficult and misunderstood
horses. I consecutively competed at the National
Championships for 10 years, including Working
Hunters, Equitation classes and Grand Prix
showjumping.
Many people send me their horses to be produced
for sale or competition from all over the country. Cheryl Presley and myself prepare
these horses to a professional standard.
Cheryl Presley, my partner has been competing for
the last 20 years on a weekly basis. She has
ridden and qualified for Royal International,
Cavan Horse Show, Festival of Showjumping, Scope
Festival, Bath & West for many seasons. Cheryl and
I take on serious competitive riders for training
and tuition. Weekly tuition and
seasonal tuition means that you may compete and train with
us at shows.
We compete on a weekly basis travelling throughout
the country with a range of Novice to Grade A
horses.
Furthermore, Michael is qualified by DEFRA to
serve in stud duties and artificial insemination
of fresh or chilled semen into mares.
